whats the best way to care and preserve stacked leather handles?
 
Same as caring for leather sheaths. I use atom wax on them.Any good leather care product should be fine.You just need to keep the oils in the leather so it doesn't dry up.
 
Lexol works great. (leather conditioner) I have taken old military knives with the visible gaps between the washers and soaked them in lexol. The leather swelled until the gaps were gone. You can imagine how well it works on new leather.
