Anybody have any comments on the Carnivore Cub? Looks good, cool recurve blade...how's it compare to the Pioneer II? Also, what's the best finish, stonewash or black? (I don't like beadblast, had bad experience with it, though not with REKAT) How are ergonomics?

I have one and it's a great knife. I didn't expect a smaller knife like the carnivour cub to be built so rugidly. It feels like it can take a serious beating and end up fine. The erogonomics are very well designed and fit the hand perfectly. The recurve makes cutting easy, and the blade naturally makes a deep cut. I like the stonewash finish because it does not show wear and scratches as much as the black finish. Just my humble opinions, hope it helps. -Lev

I really like my Cub, it fits my just about as well as my Carnivore. Compared to the Pioneer II it is more difficult to sharpen on some sharpening systems. I like them both and hope I can oick up another Pioneer II before they are all gone! I doubt you can go wrong with either knife! My suggestion is to get the Pioneer II before they are gone and add a Cub later when finances allow. Happy knife hunting!

Is the cub available in D2? Or will it be in the future? And I've heard that REKAT makes the best folding prybars out there, would the cub work for that? (I know, a knife, especially a folding knife, is not a prybar, and the proper tool (screwdriver) should be used, but still, some knives will pry better than others...)

I seem to remember Bob Brothers outlining the order that the knives were to recieve D-2
Enhanced steel. I will have to do a search to find it. The Cub WAS slated to get D-2 Enhanced. Let me look.

Nice knife. I actually like the feel better than the full size version, but that is personal preferance.

I have a NIT black g-10, stonewash blade in stock that I am selling for $75 if anyone is interested.
