Carnivour carry options?

My Carnivour is on the way. Does it have a pocket clip, if not (or even if it does) what is your favorite way to carry this beast?

The Rekat Carnivour/Carnivore (which ever way it is suppose to be spelled..lol) comes with a pocket clip - TIP UP

, but the Rolling Lock hold the blade shut more secure than the old ball detent styles.

I am lefthanded, but I carry mine in my front pocket (either LH, or RH). I didn't want to have to special order a LEFTY one and pay full retail, so I use the RH one without any problems. I can close the blade using my pointing finger on the slide lever, and swing the blade shut (you will understand better when yours comes in and you mess with it) The blade is heavy enough that you can snap it open VERY nicely. I ordered a Mike Sastre front break with pivot up sheath (LEFTY)- the clip has to be removed to use it.

Great SOLID knife regardless of how you like to carry it

Pat Crawford puts a really well thought-out pocket clip on the Carnivore. It is a deep-pocket style, i.e. the mounting plate is bent around like a fishhook. The clip has a deep shoulder to aid in drawing and a low tip for less hand poking. I am impressed. I wonder if Pat would mount the custom clip on a REKAT Carni for a reasonable fee?

Another solution I have heard of is a Kydex holster. Somebody on here had Mike Sastre (I think it was) make one for him, and he sounded pretty please with it.

The clip has been removed from my Carnivour.
I generally carry it horizontally on my belt.
The ballistic nylon sheath that came with my AFO fits it perfectly.

ptpalpha,
Your gonna love that Carnivour, my friend!
I've loved mine from the first time I picked it up.
It doesn't grow on you, it steamrolls ya with it's awe inspiring strength and ergonomics. The thing just melts into your hand to the point where they feel like they are one. I've been in a serious mental debate lately as to whether it is THE best defensive folder out there and I've come to the conclusion that if there is a better one than I don't know of it's existence yet. The Carnivour RULES!

I hope you love yours as much as I love mine.

Misque-now THAT is what I want to hear when I purchase a particular blade. Way cool. Guys, thanks for all the posts. I am interested in both the Sastre sheath and the very intriguing Crawford pocket clip. But hey-I'll wait until my burly beauty arrives to decide how I want to deploy it (I love that word!). Thanks again, and GO REKAT!!
(Actually it's my first one, but what the heck)

ptpalpha,

While admittedly mine is not the production model but rather a custom talonite version from Rob Simonich, I ordered it sans clip with the intent to carry it in a leather horizontal friction fit sheath by Gary Graley aka G2. It goes well with the ironwood handles. Were is made man material Mike Sastre makes a great kydex sheath.

Interestingly I find some designs seem to work very well with a clip and others the clip tends to spoil things. I prefer the Carnivour without a clip.

Uh Oh Bob.......
It's spreading.
I've even removed clips from writing pens so I could better stuff them in a notebook pouch
