Haven't had much time for knives in the last few months, but this one was promised a while back. The Fire Department, in a town near by, puts on a BBQ cook off every year and I am donating this chopper as a prise.

It's forged from 1095 and has a curly maple handle. The blade is 10" long and 2 1/4" wide. The OAL is 15". The design is a cross between a slicer and a cleaver.
Thanks for looking.

That thing would be sweet for choppin up pork shoulder for some pulled pork. Cool looking knife! Whoever ends up with that thing will be in a good mood that day:)

Good job Mike, how thick is the blade, looks like it will do the job, whatever it is!!Regards Butch

Mike, that rocks! Could be used for cutting ribs and chicken, AND flippin' burgers :D Great design!

That looks great. Nice hamon, and I like the line that the spine and handle make as they curve up.

Thats a nice knife and looks very suited for the purpose. Love the tie-in with the cookoff!
