Carothers 3v corrosion resistance

I live off-grid in the rainforest on the Olympic Peninsula, just below you. I'm right on the ocean, too.

I've never had any trouble with CPK knives, and I use the light chopper a lot.

Once I left a different 3V chopper outside for a couple days by mistake. It had a thin layer of rust, but it wiped right off. It's not like M4, which pits.

Check email. I just sent you a PM re your dog. Looks like it could've been a litter mate of mine. Weird.

Haha, Sooke isn’t that bad! I grew up in Langford, at least now I can say I grew up in “westshore” 😂

LOL - Sooke is quite lovely, actually. I've been there several times since, and I used to live across the Strait on the Oly Pen. Love that area.

D3V is more corrosion resistant than the stainless Cybertruck.
Lol. That might actually be literally true.

I have a few stuck in a stump that haven't rusted in a long time.

They do rust under the scales. But it will never become a functional problem, it's just aesthetic and my view on that is it's not visible unless you remove the scales to look at it. You could "solve" that problem with red loctite on the screws.

To make it even smaller, I got married in Sooke.

Don't worry - I left.
and for that, we are all thankful! Lol, just kidding. You didn't get married at the Harbour House, didja?

We did get married at the Harbour House, in 2004. And we've been back once since then. I hear it changed hands a few years ago.

whoa! We got married there the same year!

'changed hands' is a diplomatic way to put it. The couple who built HH sold it, and got royally screwed in the process. It's a sad tale.
