I couldn't make blade this year but scored a Carothers light chopper from someone that did go. Man this knife is a beast! I swear it came sharper then most if not all of my folders. And it makes the Junglas it's bitch which is no slouch. It dominates 1" thick branches. The 3V is some serious steel. Just spend two hours clearing some over grown brush and the thing still slices paper with ease.

With some other fixed blades:

The D-guard I added today. It's now locked to my hand.

The pile of crap it chopped:

Congrats on scoring one, but you couldve waited until after I acquired one before posting this. :D

I've struck out numerous times on getting one of these, doubt this will make it any easier.

Maybe I was to harsh on the Junglas because it's a fine knife. But the Carothers is just better in every way.

I want him to chop that chair because it's plastic and I want to know if the Nathan grind is good for that !

What a gorgeous grind on that blade Nfd!!
Congrats and enjoy!!

Nathan is making some of the best stuff right now. His kitchen knife is also phenomenal.

My Carothers Light Chopper is my coolest knife, bar none, and it ain't close! As I said in the other thread, calling it a beast is the understatement of the century! When I unboxed it and pulled it out of the sheath, I couldn't stop laughing for a good 10 minutes, just marveling at it's awesomeness.

Nathan is "doing it right", no doubt about it. I've got the 3V field knife that he did with vintage butterscotch handles and it is one of my favorites.

Damn you (as I set aside 500 just in case)

I did the same. Pulled it from sheath (the sheath is great too) and said W.T.F
