Carpathian Midi Fighter or a Carpathian Personal

Paul, got a small start on it yesterday and so far, looks like a little more today.

Hi Mongo, that pass around seems like a long time ago, I was only making folders then. I may be getting a hold of you with another one soon, a fixed blade and sheath this time.

Only thing I note is that the guard does not seem as long as the widest portion of the blade which might be an adjustment worthwhile
Thank you for the advice/help Murray, I'm not sure I know what you mean though.......the guard is 1 7/8" wide, the blade is 1 3/8" wide, the bottom of the guard is 1/4" below the bottom of the blade at its widest point. I never knew what it should be, I always thought if the guard at least covered the bottom edge of the blade and looked in proportion it would be fine.......if that's wrong thinking I would very much appreciate knowing the correct way.

Thanks very much you guys!
Dave

Gorgeous Knife Dave. Like everything about it.
Either color or non-color works on the spacer for me.
Neither better or worst just different IMO.

Dave it just may be the angle of the photo. Always difficult to tell from photos. I have looked at all of them again and the distance appear different depending upon which image one looks at. If it is lower as you say that is perfect. It is a wonderful looking piece and would be fun sometime to handle some of your work.

Thanks Kevin!

Thanks for clarifying Murray...that's what I thought you meant, it is lower.

Very nice! +1 on the plain Ti. Thanks for posting, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.

David, Welcome. I hope you will now start to post here often. Since I am so familiar with your work I'll just say this piece is average. Of course, your average is is absolute perfection for someone else. I'm equally sure that when you post the sheath it will cause me to seek still another retirement.
Paul

I can only echo Paul. WOW

I have a couple of Dave's knives and this one doesn't look like any thing less then perfection.

Another great looker and it should work as good as it looks.

Beautiful job Dave!! I as well prefer the un-anodized. Very nice activity in the Hamon.
