Here is the post and beam mortise & tenon, ( we could even call it stub tenon @ 42 mm length), post assembly so the axe-cut tenon is not visible. What is visible are the pegs for the draw bore roughly cut to fit with the axe as well.

Though, for the most, not apparent from subsequent processes, much axe work involved in this reconstruction; hewing, jointing, notching and so on and so on. The axe used for much necessary conversion work at initial stages and throughout. (View from the ground up).
