Carrillo Knives - No return emails or phone calls

Saw a post from Striderco regarding his challenges getting in contact with Dwaine. Good to hear he finally made contact with you. Agree Dwaine does seem like a top notch guy

I also prepaid for a Carrillo knife ,its only been 5 weeks but hope it doesnt turn into 5 months. I have tried reaching out to Dwaine for about a week now with no reply. Hopefully he's just busy making knives and will eventually reach out.

Love the Cobra and can't wait to get it .
 
Not making any excuses, I don't think I've ever emailed or otherwise with Dwaine, but Blade show is soon. That usually means that the 4-8 weeks before the show everyone is at their grinders making all kinds of stuff, all kinds. Most production companies are a bit slower to respond to email and phone calls too.

Except Todd Begg, he's got teenagers doing all the work, so he answers his emails like lightning.....

I will hold back any attempts at humor, and stick to the subject matter from here on out.

It will make me a better person, and a better member of the BF community.....

Update : Just got an email from DC seems he is busy battling a new CAD/CAM machine. Trying his best to get the knives out
 
Dear Tony,
here is Jens . I am a Carrillofan and owner of a lot of his Cobrags and scouts . Dwaine is a perfectionist and his work is awsome but this takes his time...and my experience is: You wait between payment and shipping out 12 months. Thats the facts. Better you len back and have a cold beer .... he is a honest guy but takes time till he is confisdent with his work to ship out. Jens
