Carry on your person #?

Just one, usually. Sometimes I'll carry a smaller folder with the Military in my back pocket, but a small folder almost always.

I don't carry specifically for SD but always carry two on me: a folder clipped to my left pocket since I'm a leftie and a Leatherman Squirt P4 on my keychain in my right pocket to use around sheeple or to lend out. The mini Leatherman earned its place after it enabled me to wrestle a stripped pedal back onto my bike a fair distance out on a trail. Really handy little tool.

I also keep a Fallkniven S1 in the door of my car or in my pack if I'm walking for local trips and replace it with a custom Ranger RD7 for out of town trips (that one stays in the car unless hiking). It may get some strange looks if it ever came down to it but my pack also has a first aid kit, paracord, energy bars, water-resistant shell or sweater, lighter, and steel water bottle. In light of that stuff a fixed blade isn't out of place.

At home or general out and about, a mini griptillian or an Emerson Hardwear tanto combined with a small SAK and a ladybug on the keychain.
At work, because I am slowly training them that knives are your friends, only one small blade at a time, but at least 3 others in my "man bag" in the back room so I always have choices nearby for different tasks.

I started carrying a PE cricket clipped to my front pocket for all the little tasks. I still carry a combo military, paramilitary or endura IWB for the big things at work and when out running. The cricket is uber useful and draws the "aw...cute" response as opposed to a military.

Typically carry 2 Spydercos on me at all times except when i sleep and shower. Right now it's a Lava in FRP and a Foliage green Endura in BRP.

Also tend to keep a couple of Cold Steel fixed blades in the car.

I have been thinking that, in addition to my regular folder, that I should carry an emergency knife for defense or emergency rope-cutting situations (such as a Tasman Salt, or something that will fit in my back pocket).

I usually carry an Endura 4 or a Cabela's Benchmade Griptilian like cutlerylover's on youtube.

Remember though, a rope-cutting situation is real for me as I work on tugboats.

Lines can get caught and as forest gump says, stuff happens.
