What fixed blade knife should/could I carry in a big city(Phila.). What have you carried without being bothered by the cops. What about a SRK or a Camillus CQB etc...

I don't know specifically about Phillie, however, most fixed blade carry in cities is forbidden or will cause undo attention even if openly displayed. Most places have a hunting/fishing exemption, but I doubt that explanation would fly in the city.

I sometimes carry small fixed blades in my pocket or jacket (I guess that means concealed), and I have Never been hassled by the cops. Of course, there are probably other reasons for that other than the fact that I sometimes carry what might be construed as an illegal weapon. I never carry a weapon. Just knives which are Tools.

You may what to repost this in the new forum here related to knife laws. Also if memory serves correctly I think Bernard Levines website has a link to knife laws for each state.I also ould suggest going to your local library in pa and see if they have a set of the penal code.Whatever you do don't take advice from a Police Officer who's knowledge may be limited about the subject or incorrect.I would think that if your looking to keep a low profile, a folder with a 3-3 1/2 inch blade usually is legal most everywhere.Perhaps a small neck knife with a 3 inch blade would be low profile.Something to consider also, does your daily routine bring you in contact with metal detectors/security check points? Good Luck,Ralph
