Carry to Work?

Mini-AFCK clipped right front pocket
Spydie Starmate in the right front pocket
Spydie Military IWB
SAK Manager in the 5th pocket

The Mini AFCK gets switched with a Calypso Jr. Ltwt. or a mini Dyad (micarta) for off work wear.

The Starmate occasionally gets swapped for a Sifu SE.

The Military and Manager are pretty constant.

As of late my Cold Steel Med Voyager Tanto. But soon....a left handed BM Mini AFCK (bought minutes ago....what am I gonna tell my wife??? Also have a mini Opinel keychain which i picked up in Paris, figure its a signal to other knife nuts that I am a brethren! Looking at getting a spydie card - everyone here seems to like them so they must be cool I figure.

I usually carry my Spyderco Calypso Jr SS in waistband, a Vnox SwissChamp on my belt, a Vnox Minichamp in my left pants pocket, a Gerber Legend in my backpack and a Wenger Esquire on my key chain.

If it wasn't for my flashlight, micro torch, laser pointer, cell phone and PDA, I could probably squeeze in another knife somewhere...

Ready to be underwhelmed? A Buck 709. I work in an office and have to wear slacks and a tie. I like this little knife a lot (and use it quite often) but if I had my druthers, would carry the Endura.

I carry a small old style sebenza in my right front pocket, a Pulse on the belt, and a Vic Cybertool 29 in my left front pocket.

On weekends, I rarely carry the Vic and sometimes carry the large benza or Spydie Goddard Ltwt instead.

I can't work anymore, thanks to CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and Fibromyalgia. But I AlWAYS carry my Microtech HALO III, black combo blade. It's usually in the MT belt pouch, horizontal. Occasionally, I use the multi-purpose Kydex sheath in one of the many variations possible, especially when I can't or don't wear a belt.

Usually, when I do get out, I take my Leatherman "Wave" too. To make it easier for me, I have several pouches and sheathes for both, so I'm not always threading and unthreading belts from the loops when I change from pants to shorts to jeans, etc.

I also always have my Star "PD" (and 3 to 5 back up mags, all filled w/ Federal 165 grain Personal Defense Hydra-Shoks) with me, and at night, my cut down lightened Carbon 15 with a 9 round mag of Hornady TAP ammo, and 2 20 round back up mags, 1 w/ TAP, 1 with M855/SS109.

What do I use most? The HALO III. Of all my knives, the HALO III can and does do ANYTHING almost as well as my Randall fixed blades, and is much more convenient. It gets used for one thing or another several times each day for one thing or another.

Boy Scout motto: "Be prepared".

Oh yeah; I HAVE needed all of these things at one time or another. So "being prepared" is not an abstract for me.

Oops! Heh, heh! Almost forgot. A keyring SAK. I thought I'd never use the tweezers and toothpick. Now I can't do without them.

I carry one of the stockmans my grandfather gave me just for the memories.
I carry a JSP credit card blade with money clip just in case I am ever tied to a chair by terrorists.
I wear a small wharncliffe fixed blade (about 6.5" overall) for utility. I will soon be replacing it with This.

The first knife was probably used to cut stuff.

I carry a Spyderco Rescue at the hospital but I just bought a Calypso Jr. with micarta handle (actually an Experimental with AUS-8 steel) that I'm going to start using at work.

I carry my BM 720SBT. It's the newer version with the 154cm blade. It's a great low maintainance knife. Maybe my EDC search is finally over.

812 Mini AFCK in M2 plain edge, that or the BM 750 plain edge. Well I have lost my job, now, so not any more

Still at least I have more time for revision for my final year of Uni!

Well, I can't really work, one primary reason being fibromyalgia like StarPD. So, my "job" is the forums. To feel safe in my computer room, I carry a CRKT M16-14 clipped to right front pocket. Goddard Ltwt. is clipped to left front pocket. PECK is working as money clip in left front pocket. Walker Ltwt. rides in right rear pocket. Wear Stiff KISS around neck. (Have Fang by REKAT, but sheath is a tad loose, and need to heat and try to tighten. Like it better than the KISS.)

Of course, always chance those on order will replace something. Have Wegner, Calypso Jr., S-2 and Native on the way. Course, my CKFF, which I carried for a couple months, and Dyad which I thought I'd carry in left pocket, just can't seem to replace the current occupants.

Plan to add blue Case to r front pocket on Father's Day. Bought one of the sets Jailhack got for great price, and will give smaller -- maybe bigger -- to my son. If he doesn't like it, will give my Dad his choice.

Is that enough? Oh--will probably put my CRKT Companion on waist when I get my sheath from Normark. That'll be enough.
