Carrying my Umnum into sea at the beach.

I usually just take my SAK on the beach, I would probably pull a KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNN on the beach if I lost my Umnum, Insingo or Sebenza.

I live close to the beach and swim all the time. I wouldnt carry my umnum but i usually clip one of my cheaper knives to my shorts and its good depending on how strong your clip is

That's my favorite post of the month!
I instantly pictured the almighty Shatner when I read it- hilarious.
I'm sure that I'd react the same way if my blade disappeared into the sand or sank to Davey Jones Locker.

I dunno. Its a security blanket. I always like to keep a knife on me. I know it may seem stupid, but like I said, its a security blanket.

I don't think that you need to explain wanting to carry at the beach at all !

If the nay sayers truly knew where you wouldn't need to have a knife, or maybe even a gun, then they're essentially stating that they'd know exactly where you would; both forms of this type of fortune telling are complete bs.

No one can say when you may need your knife to do anything from cut a nasty hang nail, prepare lunch, rescue somebody from fishing net, make quick repairs to your beach gear, or defend yours or someone else's life. Even if it is just a simple security blanket I'm truly surprised that fellow knife enthusiasts are giving you a hard time for carrying a tool at the beach and into the water if you don't want to leave it unattended while you swim. I can understand some people thinking that its impractical but just didn't expect it here.

Let us know how well that spydie holds up to the sea and have a great time at the beach.
