I am trying to figure out the best way to carry my Rat3 for EDC. I dont like the boot clip and I have never put the other peice that came with it, on. Which way is the best way to carry one. Oh and Im not talking about the RC3, I dont have one, I have a Rat3 and to me its a great knife. I dont have the money to buy an RC3 and since i own a Rat3 i dont need one and this is not a thread for argument over Rat and Ontario. I just like the Rat3 and thats it.

use the tec-loc ,u can wear the rat3 vertical or horizontal on your belt....I prefer it over the clip

Wildone, I love the RAT3 too. It is a handy knife for carry because of the short handle. I have an RC4 and its an awesome knife, but I like the smaller size of the RAT in the 3" blade.
Anyway, the best way I've found to carry it, is to loop paracord through the holes to look something like --IXI-- then you can thread your belt through so it rides horizontally. It rides much closer to the body (and catches on a lot less things) this way, than with the tekloc. Hope that makes sense.

I've been carrying mine on a baldrick makes it easy to carry at waist level or a little lower. dosen't get in the way of a pack and keeps the knife attached to your body in case you have to ditch the pack.
