I have not tried one, but there are a few people I know who have. They enjoyed every min. of it and the 2 that I have seen looked great.

As far as how great a user, I will have to plead ignorance. I do not know anyone who has put their's to meaningful use.

i got one at blade and really like it.
i put it together the other night in about ten minutes.i still have to attach scales (i got a chunck of blue/black g10 im gonna use).

overall its pretty gosh darn good.good lock up,the action is some of the best i have seen in a production blade too.go for it,man.you wont be disappointed.

I've done 4 of them, fairly easy to do. You'll need a T6 and a T9 TORX driver. I also used a drill press, belt sander and DREMEL tool. Makes for a great looking knife, but it's AUS8 steel...not the best (nor even close) stuff around. Haven't cut anything with mine....A little tip for those that make them...shorten the blade about 1/8" or else you might be slicing your pockets and fingers with the tip. Also, attach the bolsters then fit the scales to the liners before you put the rest of it together. Use a Dremel tool (or something like it) to make a notch in the frame for the "thumb bob". After the scales are done, take them off, put the knife together and then reattach the scales.

I'd love to watch, but somebody has to work...

I bought one of the kits over there and it is great! You will need to get the Torx drivers...I found mine individually at Sears Hardware.

I was going to leave it bead blasted and use micarta for the scales but I ended up doing a 600 grit satin finish on the blade and bolsters. Rather than using the small standoffs in the handle...I made a solid one out of G-10 and covers the entire back edge of the handle, all the way up to the blade stop.

Great price too!!

I made one for my brother and he carries it everyday. It gets used and has held up well. Its a pretty solid knife. Here it is, too bad the picture sucks.

I did file work all teh way around the liners and and put the serrations in with a diamond file. The handle is black G10 rubbed out to a 400 grit finish.I wire brushed the bolsters and left the blade with the original finish.
It didn't even take very long to do. Have fun
