Is it possible to replace the Zytel handles with hardwood of some kind? I like my M-4, I'd just like to dress up the handles a little. I sure wish I could find a 3" version of this knife someplace. Anyway, thanks for all the great work you do.

Ty I think I did one before for someone. Don't think it was wood though. If wood it would have to be thin and unless its stabalized I don't think its advisable to try it that thin for fear it could warp on you. Its also easier to chip and crack to be as thin as that is.

I had a hard time with that last one matching up to the bolster if its the model I'm thinking of but I did pull it off using linen micarta or paper. Not sure now. It was ivory micarta I think.

Some black linen or green linen micarta would look great and also be quite durable.
