This hurts me to part with and I’ve never sold a knife from my collection, so you must know I’m desperate.

I bought this knife off Kit’s table at Blade Show 2001, here’s what I wrote at that time.
“This is really the first knife I bought at Blade Show, about 30 seconds after the doors opened.
What can I say about this knife?
It's by Kit Carson, his Model 4 with a 3" Stellite 6K blade and Stag scales, 7" OAL. If you have ever handled a Carson folder you know what it feels like. If you haven't you don't know what you're missing.”

The knife has been carried, but is in excellent condition. There is no belt clip on the knife, but it does come with a leather Gary Graley belt sheath.

Finding another knife like this would be very difficult.

Some more thoughts from 2001.

“Kit Carson had been teasing me for a while (on BFC Chat) that he was bringing two stag handled folders to Blade, but they wouldn't be for sale. Well as soon as the doors opened at noon on Friday several of us made a bee-line to Kit's table. Beeing from NYC and knowing how to deal with crowds helped because I made my way to the front and Kit put two Wilkinson zippered cases in my hand, inside were two beautiful folders, one in Damascus and one in Stellite and both in stag. I was admiring the work and I looked at Kit and said, "These aren't for sale?" He smiled and said, "Which one do you want?" I showed him the one in Stellite which in my opinion had nicer matching stag, we struck a deal and the knife was mine, all in less time than it took to type this. This started off Blade Show 2001 for me on a high note, and for me the whole weekend was full of high notes. Several folks were pissed at me for being so quick, including Mo and my roommate for the show Gene. I had several offers to buy the knife before the day was over, but this knife will never be sold while I'm alive. In fact the only time it will leave my hands is when I send it off to Gary Graley for one of his belt sheaths.”

Never say never. I thought at one time this would be the last knife I would sell, it now appears that this will be the first knife from my collection that I sell. I need the money so it has to go, and go it will.

This knife is special for many reasons. It is the Classic pattern of one of the Top Ten Most Popular makers, the Stellite blade and the beautifully matched stag will make it a stand out in any collection.

Now the question is do you want to see it in your collection?
If it is, you had better make your move.
