Didn't know what else to call it. As most of you already know this is the first knife I sold. It will leave around the middle of the week for it's new home. I will be stressed until I know it arrived. :(

Here are the specs:
Blade length: 5 7/8” OAL: 11”
Grind: Flat
Steel: 1095, clay/hamon
Handle: Desert Ironwood
Fittings: Mild steel (1018)

Glamor Shot.

Of course, critique is always welcomed.

Thanks for all your help with this endeavor. Couldn't have done it without you guys.

UH, couldn't you have polished out the discoloration on the blade?:p Seriously, that thing is awesome! And I love the hamon, and the carving is very tastefully done.

A piece befitting French Colonial Court, Patrice.
Two names came to mind, upon seeing the guard accent,
"Le petit prince" and "le jeune roi."
It reminds me of the ruffled smocks of French Kings or the carved balustrades of Basilique-Cathedrale Notre-Dame.
Bravo, sir.

Pat, that is freakin awsome!

You defiantly brought your "A game" out on that one!:applouse:

Now where is the sheath a knife that is that sweeeeeeeeeeet deserves an equally awesome sheath!:D Just yanking your chain a lot of guys don't like doing sheaths at all.

The way I figure it, a sheath for a knife is kind of like clothes on a beautiful woman! The mystique is in whats under that little sexy black dress! I know that just makes me a dirty ole man. :D:D

Thanks for he good words guys. I would not call myself a perfectionist, maybe just a tad obsessive would be a better description. ;)

Peter, you might miss this one but we do have to get together someday. I'd love to see those big folders of yours.

Sheath coming Dixie, eventually. :(

Thanks Greg. Might not show from the pics or I might not have put a big enough edge on it but it is sharpened. Since the buyer, Ryan Weeks, is also a knifemaker I'll leave it like that and wait to see what he thinks.

That is just wonderful. Ryan is a lucky guy. Great work man, and congrats on the first sale.
