I used nylon sheathed steel ball bearings for a fast and smooth operation. Strong detent, strong secure lock up and zero blade play in any direction.

I'll take it. My 2nd Alan Davis now.... Payment already sent via PayPal. I already have his Damascus Flipper with the Buckeye Burl handles. Both are good looking knives for sure. Both will be users. The flipper has already terminated many a cardboard box at work :)

The swedge on this one reminds me of the blade grind on my Benchmade 710. It's one of my favorite grinds. This just does it with way more style. Alabama Damascus style that is!
