I would like to start carving small simple designs in my 416 stainless steel bolsters, should I use a air engraver or can I do it with small cutters? If so, where can I find these small cutters? I plan on using a dremel.

Thanking you in advance for your help :)

I use an air powered drill similar to a dental drill for carving. It will carve most any material. They are expensive compared to a dremel. Around $200.00. A dremel is pretty bulky for what you want to do and I would not recommend using one for that application. Just my .02.
