• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

My older brother ( the guy who bought me my first knife) while not being a "knife guy" per say is an outstanding wood carver ...he makes ridiculously detailed folk carved figurines...which he sells from time to time...He was showing me all of his creations one day when I asked him what he used to carve them all with. He puled out a vic spartan and said he used the small blade on that knife to do all of his carving...I suppose it's not that amzing a story but I found it interesting....anyone have a similar experience?

Yea..... my Grandad used to carve chains with nothing more than his Old Timer stockman. I've tried to use my Vic Farmer, and it does the job just fine. Gets a little uncomfortable after a while.

Of course me being addicted to knives :D I need to buy dedicated carving knives to really be a good carver.;)
