Claudio & the Brothers Sobral are undoubtedly among the best blade-smiths on the planet. Their Bowies and Fighters are always finalists in the Bladeforums Bowie of the Year contest, and deservedly so.

This gorgeous example of their work is a smaller fighter for knife-lovers who want a CAS that they can carry comfortably, in one of the beautifully crafted, intricately tooled sheath the brothers are also known for. With a blade just under 7-inches and a sheath with a long, tight strap that allows for a variety of belt carry options, it's easy to carry and conceal by turning it to a forward angle, 20-degrees or so away from parallel to the belt-line. I wish more sheath-makers did the same thing.

I purchased the knife NEW a couple months ago, and it's in exactly the same shape I received it: 'mint'. Besides trying it on to see how it rides, it hasn't been carried, and hasn't cut anything. Everything about it is exactly as it left the makers' shop.

The Sambar Stag handle has to be appreciated in person, and as gorgeous as it looks, I was shocked by how perfect it is: one the most comfortable I've felt, solid and smooth with just a little tactility when you tighten your grip.

The blade is forged from CAS San Mai, with protective slabs of stainless steel that have a flawlessly hand-rubbed satin finish, and the distinctive 'frost' look that derives from the contrast provided by the blackened high-carbon core, and the cloudy hamon. Again, pictures don't do it justice. The carbon steel core is visible on the rounded spine and exposed on the sleek false edge of the clip, a profile that is perfect for a fighter that can be carried and used for EDC tasks...

These beautiful examples of Claudio & Ariel Sobral's meticulous craftsmanship are getting very hard to come by, now that the CAS name has become so popular with collectors. Wait times are very long, and I wouldn't be selling this knife if I didn't need to raise funds for another one finally coming up. I love this knife, but hard decisions needed to be made.

The first person to say 'they'll take it', without conditions, in the thread, via PM or email, telepathy, etc., will probably get it; but I reserve the right to sell to whomever I choose*.
(*That whole spiel is a way of avoiding problems that have come up for other sellers... don't worry about it.)

This knife is listed elsewhere, so act fast.
