CAS "Scagel Rendition" in Damascus

I've got a couple CAS knives, sounds like a great idea for Blade 2016 to sport Claudio's knives in The Pit.

I like everything about the knife except the garish brigth kelly green which clashes with the otherwise warm earth tones of the handle and not only pulls the eye but arrests it.

I think it's a matter of individual taste, Kevin, I admit the green jarred me quite a bit. It will take some getting used to for a fella who thinks of Scagels in the traditional sense. The same goes for the Damascus, it's certainly different.

The "GREEN' appears a bit 'overwhelming' in the photo, however it's actually a more subdued shade of green that complements the green snakeskin inlay in the sheath.
I will try to shoot another photo more showing it's realistic color.

I will say that I would absolutely LOVE to see more contemporary Scagel-inspired knives such as this.

I sure dig it , Kevin, esp. the nod at Webster Marbles on the stag butt.

CAS threads are too few. I'd be glad to own OP's knife.

The one Claudio made for me. It's an entry level piece by him with the micarta bolsters, but still a nice piece in my meager assemblage.

Entry level piece to be proud of. In case you haven't noticed, I am impressed with their work.

CAS knife designs are so diverse, always creating something different, however you can always spot one of their knives with only a glance.

Hello!

Kevin - another delightful CAS for your collection! I really like the guys' Scagels and got one a few years back as well.

Claudio, Ariel, Marcello - you ROCK my friends! I will finally see you all in Atlanta next year! And I will be wearing one of my few CAS pieces as well!

Lorien, Dudley, Gary - can't wait to meet you and your CAS pieces next year as well (yes, I said Lorien as well... get your ass down there, buddy! :) ).

Nomo - you got a really nice one there! Enjoy it!

Kevin, you are spot on - CAS pieces can usually be spotted 1 mile against the wind... ;)

I noticed that I need to upgrade my user group again, so image hosting is not working atm - please see the linked imaged for a small outtake of some of my CAS pieces, lots of different styles, lots of firsts and experiments, lots not shown... all clearly CAS though:

My Scagel is in the bottom left corner btw.

Best,
Alex

PS: Claudio, the integral Persian arrived safe and sound and completely blew my mind!
