If your knife has the 1970's dots tang stamp then it is from 1976 and would have CV blades and delrin handles. The 62042 pen knife was a standard in the Case pocket knife line from the 1920's or earlier until circa 2000 when it was discontinued. Case changed it from jigged bone then to delrin then to smooth bone then back to delrin, the examples made from 1981 on all had glazed stainless steel blades. It had also been made in imitation pearl handles as the 92042.
Thanks for this little bit of history. I am so uneducated about many of the early case models So I am always glad to find out a little bit more. Looks like it will be a very thin knife.
I plan on posting some of mine just as soon as I get it.
I bought it off of flee bay and I can't figure out how to get a picture from the auction saved to my computer
Anyway it was shipped today so hopefully I will have it soon.
