a fellow forum member recently alerted me to an announcement from Case's #1 dealer that Case will be releasing a line in white smooth bone and CV blades.
Among others in this line is what is probably my all time favorite Case pattern, the 08 pattern half whittler.:eek: :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I've been wanting an 08 half whittler in CV since the day I fell in love with this patter, I didn't really care if it was in delrin or a 6208 in bone.
After falling in love with their peachseed jigged amber bone this is definitely my ideal combination, but I'll kind of take what I can get at this point and I've gotta say the white smooth bone doesn't look bad at all in pictures.
I am going crazy with anticipation waiting for it's release.

They are not available yet, but I'm so excited.

In the line is the
Kickstart
Trapperlock ( I know these two technically aren't traditional)
Half whittler
Sowbelly
Mini copperlock
Two blade pocket hunter ( would love a single blade )
Trapper.

I know the half whittler and those two modern types are probably the only ones that weren't previously available in CV, but the whole line does look nice.

That is exciting. Will have to watch out for news release. 08 + CV =

Very exciting, one of my favorite case patterns. Got three in stainless: Red Stag, Indigo Blue Bone, and smooth white bone.

I'd like that Half Whittler, a tidy Penknife even though they are two springs lately.

I'd be interested in that line, as well... I have a half-whittler in black synthetic and SS, and it's a nice sized knife. I think it will be very comparable to the new GEC conductor.. in fact, I'd be interested in several knives in that line.... I'm a big CV fan....

Along with the Case Senator (79 pattern) and the Case Eisenhower (63 pattern) the Case 08 pattern is a favorite penknife for dress slack carry - but even better for having a Clip main blade. I have two of them, both older CV variations, one in jigged bone and the other in smooth Appaloosa bone - they remain fine little knives forty years after they were made. OH

I'd sure love to know when this series is supposed to be released.
I'm assuming since everyone has them listed as on back order the pandemic is just delaying things.

That is pretty much how each release gets handled with the dealer having this Case SFO made. Go ahead and order what you want, when it’s available they will ship. They are not Blade Forums dealers but they are good folks to deal with. OH

Man, I've been looking all over for smooth white bone..... :(
Turns out, it's called "natural bone"... :)
I have a half whittler on order/backorder. I'm still thinking about the sowbelly.... I already have a stag cv sowbelly... so, I'm thinking... I'm thinking....

Definitely interested in the half whittler and the sowbelly. Wish they’d also do a canoe and a large Copperlock in this configuration.
