Hey folks,
This is my very first Case knife. I drove about 25 minutes to a hardware store that is a Case dealer and looked at their selection of Case knives. I wasn't originally set on a stockman but I ended up with one. The light green bone just really caught my eye and I went home with a 1999 model.
I know nothing about this knife and I assume that since the number is 6347 SSM that it's a small stockman but I am really not sure what SSM means.
The knife has freaking perfect fit and finish and I love it. The blades have nice snap to them however the spey backspring seems a tad weak. It didn't concern me though and I really wanted this knife. I didn't even know it was a 1999 model until I got to my car and had to look at it more.
Yeah I spent $50 on her but it was worth it to go to the HW store and talk to the people there. The guy that helped me looked about my age (35) and you could tell he was really getting into it. He even started looking through the knives to see the one he had when he was in the Scouts (He found it by the way). We had a good time just talking and looking at stuff.
I took some pics folks. She's going in my pocket as a user.
Happy New Year!!!
