Since I'm a sissy and like knife purses, I was wondering what people are using for their backpocket knives. I won't carry it in my backpocket because I have a bony butt and it gets uncomfortable to sit on, so it goes in the front. I'd like to find just a simple leather sleeve, no clips or anything. Something like what GEC or CRK offer, but long enough for this big knife.

Now the knife isn't a traditional so ignore that but the sheath/knife purse fits my 2012 BFC Wharncliff Trapped and was very easy to make and now that been in my pocket is developed some nice character and it's now form fit to the knife.

Here's my poor attempt at makin' a sheath for my recently aquired small Sebenza.

I had some leather cuttin's layin' around and I liked the way this one felt and looked so I tried my hand at sheath makin', to the sheathmakers and leather workers on the forums, I apologize for my attempt, you guys got nothin' to fear from me. :)

I will take any advice or criticism you guys have to offer, I know I shoulda used my awl but I had my SAK Alox Farmer, a thread, needle amd about an hour's worth of time to kill.

That's pretty good! I guess maybe I don't really need a "purse" per se, just a sleeve long enough to cover the whole thing.

Something like this? They are fairly inexpensive, made with good thick leather, and come in two sizes. Can't mention the manufacturer on here though. PM sent.

GEC also do a really nice slip sheath, tree rats and all.

If not I may be able to rustle you one up Blaine.....

Thanks for the idea about the GEC sleeve, but I already have one and it's too short for the Case BackPocket...

The large sleeve is listed on their website as 5 3/8" long. The small one is 4" long. Which one do you have?

I believe GEC only had one size sleeve made for them..? http://greateasterncutlery.net/blog/merchandise/gec-pocket-knife-sleeve/ That one is actually 4 1/2" long, but the stitching and shape of the sleeve make its useful length less (although it's great for white owls, bullets end jacks, conductors, boy's knives, barlows, Case Texas jacks, etc.)

Or are you talking about the KSF ones? Those measurements look like the sizes of the KSF small clipped and large unclipped ones.

You know I tried carrying my Queen Mountain Man (4.5" closed) in my front pocket with a cloth sheath for a spell and finally decided that maybe what I really wanted was an open top case for my belt. That way I could get at it easy, but it would be secure while not being overly large in the pocket. I found one that fits someplace or other, and so far I really like it. You might think about something similar.

My Case Backpocket fits perfectly in the leather sleeve that came with my Spyderco Double Stuff stone...
