Case Backpocket

Oh man, I wish I had a Backpocket. I have the 2 blade version (Panama Trapper) though, and it is awesome. I always have liked the looks of the single bade Backpocket clip point though, and I like to carry a big knife over a small one.
 
It's worth the money I think, and to answer a question about this image, IF you tried to set the blade at this angle on any other backpocket knife, it would not remain in that position, as the back spring would bring it into the frame. SO, what I did to get this photo was to inlay a wedge of rubberized cork that the kick of the blade is striking against and that keeps the blade from closing all the way. I found it to be a nicer image than at the half open position.

Gary.. Some years ago Case had an event and Tony was there.. I got to spend about an half hour talking to him. .Great guy.. I had the BP I got posted with me and Tony showed me his BP that he carried.. Kinda kool.. I got to handle it and it was a ton above what Case had!! He also had a wharncliff gent take he was delivering to a customer too.. WOW!! What a fine piece of cutlery that was..

I wish I had known those were going on, it's a bit of a drive from home but would have been worth it. I was lucky enough to get to visit with Tony at his home, his wife brought out some sweet tea while we were looking around his shop, a real down to earth kind of person!

I see these are sold out pretty much everywhere, but a lot of sites have them listed as "backordered" with an email notification option. Are more of these to be expected, or should I start looking on the second-hand market?

I could never find one in stock and got lucky when Gary sold me the one in his pics.

But I’ve been using the smaller 2-blade S35VN trapper more, with the larger 1-blade Backpocket sitting on my desk unused. I planned to use it as my Desk knife if I sat down there in my gym shorts with no knife. I would consider selling it to you for what I spent + shipping to you if you buy a forum membership and can send me a PM.

EDIT - I am not actively selling it. I only offered because someone couldn't find one. I'm happy to keep it if he doesn't want it.
