All true. Definitely too much, but it looks like the grind would be fairly tricky to set up, especially this one with the angled tip. It's true the handle is slabs, but the slabs are removable, and you can replace them with paracord which is much more useful and comfortable. Removable covers (scales, or slabs) implies that you can replace them with something better. As for being battle ready, it appears that they're using the same battle proven steal used in their V-42 and the Besh Wedge solves the problem of a brittle point on a stiletto.TedderX, What does the Geneva Convention have to do with a knife design? I agree with most comments, uncomfortable handle, not very useful as a knife, and certainly no more combat ready than say a Randall 1, or a host of other knives. What really surprised me was the cost. I think the cheapest I have seen it for sale is about $259 for a knife that looks like it could be drop forged, no high speed steel, and just slabs for the handle. John
I think the price is high, but I also think this is a very well designed knife that is probably very good at doing the one thing for which it was designed.
