Case/Bose Lanny's Clip: Anyone else on a waiting list?

I'm half-way there, with saving. I had to dump out a good portion for the 2012 Bladeforums knife and the 2012 Bladeforums Traditional. Both are knives I want to have, but it sure put a hole in my Case/Bose funding... Looks like Bone for me, as well.;):D

Personally I think the chestnut jigged bone version is going to be a stunner! Thats the one I have my eye on :)

Funny that this thread got bumped today. I almost bought something else this morning and then it occurred to me that I wanted to order one of these.

Bone for me too but I can't decide between Antique or Chestnut.

I only know of one place to pre-order these but I cannot mention them here. Is there more than one place?

Would someone please PM me if there is?

Thanks.

Either one looks to be stunning. However, I have an ebony Tribal Spear, but would really like to pick up either an antique or chestnut model. First world problems, you know ;).

I can relate. :) I have Norfolks in each of those bone colors and I can't even decide which one of those I like the best.

Dang you guys, two mentions of the LC in threads today...I had forgotten (temporarily) about getting one, now I've got the itch and I'm broke...and I'd love a Norfolk too...so many knives, so little $.

As far as pre-ordering, I just did a google search for the Bose collaboration from last year, and started down the line of dealers who popped up. I eventually found one who mentioned they would have the LC.

They didn't say I was guaranteed a knife, but they did say they would inform me when the knives arrived, for what that's worth. I do know it's not a done deal, until the piece is in my hands.

There's always the secondary market, though, and I'm willing to pay the premium for a Lanny's Clip, if it comes down to it.

Congrats Rick!

Thanks, Kevin. If it's anything like my Norfolks, which I'm confident that it will be, it will be well worth the short waiting period.

I remember the first time I saw a Lanny's Clip. Shortly after I joined the forum, Stu (Flymon) posted a photo of a LC that Rick Menefee made. It blew me away! I have wanted one ever since then and I am absolutely delighted that the LC is this years' collab knife.

It's been said before but I'll say it again.................It's a great time to be a knife knut!

I whole-heartedly agree.

I actually did a little happy dance when I first found out the Lanny's Clip would be this year's Collab.

I just verified with the folks I signed up with. There WILL be a KNIFE FOR ME!

I narrowed it down to the Chestnut bone.

So far my favorite is the Norfolk, 2 blades, 1 spring, perfect pocket carry knife. I've been looking for the Dogleg Jack for about 2-3 years but everyone who owns one is keeping it. That's a very high recommendation. None of the Collabs are easy to find once the dealers are sold out and i'm sure it will be the same for this years Lanny's Clip. I have A Lanny's Clip made by Joel Chamblin and i see it as the best pattern of all single Clip blade folders.

Here is a unique Case/Bose Lanny's Clip, dare I say one-of-a-kind, that Tony assembled during demonstrations at the Case Swap Meet in Bradford last week. He brought it home and tweeked it so that it would be perfect and scratched his name on the liner inside.

I have a stag version on order and would loved to have been there last week, to see you guys and watch the master assemble this LC.

Great pictures Kerry! The Case/Bose partnership has to be one of the smartest moves any knife manufacturer could make. That's a beautiful knife!
