Case/Bose or not?

This is a great thread, with terrific photos. I am learning a lot, and now I've got the hots for a Case/Bose also.

No doubt this forum will drive up the price of the Case/Bose collaborations and lemon oil. :D

P.S. Based on those swedges, the guys in the Case proto shop obviously have some serious skills.

Their skill is mechanized though, don't forget. The swedges are just like what you would see on a real Bose but done on a machine. It is pretty amazing how well they emulate Tony's work.

Someone mentioned the thickness of the tang on the lockback whittler primary blade. Check it out.

That's impressive. One thing I have never beheld in person is a tang like that one. I see what you mean Kerry, I was mentally picturing 3 guys making customs I guess.

So, which is the one that will most likely travel over to The Netherlands?

No question. Slimline trapper from 1999 if I had to choose right now. I just happen to like that pattern in general. The lockback whittler is probably second in line after that. But, they're all desirable in my book, and I will probably eventually pull the trigger on whatever I get closest to first.

Ralph,

Since he's banned I don't think he can see the traditional forum. You have to be logged in for some reason.

Whoops! I think he got into some kinda pi$$ing match with Bernard Levine and other members over on BRL's forum. Oh well.

Ralph,

He may still be able to read threads without logging on, so he may be in touch in any case.
