I know we have a lot of picture threads but to my knowledge we don't have one honoring the Case Chestnut CV Knives. IMO they are some of the most beautiful user knives on the planet and I don't think I'm alone. So dust off those cameras snap some pictures and let's see yours. I really hope this thread takes off I would love to see those Case Chestnut knives you folks have in your collections. I'll start it off with a few of mine.

This SBJ has gotten the most pocket time out of the few Chestnut CV knives I have.

I also like this medium stockman pretty well

Older pics and the sowbelly has moved on. I fight the desire of picking up another everytime I see one. Such a great knife.

Used to have a SBJ in this, but gave it away.

Now it's just this Medium Stockman, nice to have the modified Pen blade. Just wish CASE would do their Pen Knife in this excellent bone too....

Thanks, Will

Great idea! I have only two Case knives (peanut and muskrat) and they're both chestnut bone and CV. I love the look of it and as we can see in this thread, it ages lovely. Right now my peanut is taking a tea bath and I don't have the muskrat with me, so no pics for me ...

Nice Case Knives gents! Chestnut is my favorite of the modern Case colors - it reminds me of what a pocketknife is "supposed to look like". I have a Canoe and had a Peanut (which I gifted to a hunting buddy). OH

Irona is right Stich the covers on your knife do have a glass like quality to them and the patina is reminiscent of Damascus. Absolutely beautiful my friend definitely a knife to be proud of.

Whenever I see Stich's knife I also think of a caramel or hard candy that's halfway done being sucked on, it just has such a perfectly smooth finish on it.

Case Chestnut Bone is really well done.

Looking good fellas. I don't have a horse in this race, but I am loving the examples so far. I have a smooth chestnut trapper in SS so all I can do is admire......

Case's chestnut brown is arguably their best current color. Case made a good move when they reintroduced one of their best patterns in their best color, the Case Swayback Jack.

Thanks for starting this thread, Randy!! These are some of my favorite knives, and I get weak in the knees every time I see your wonderful display case full of chestnut bone goodness!!!

Frank and major_works, your chestnut trios each have incredible colors - gorgeous!!

I feel extremely fortunate and grateful to have 4 of these knives; 3 of them were gifts from BF members.
A Sodbuster Jr won in a BigBiscuit GAW and a sowbelly stockman that was a Christmas surprise from Ron:
