Case Chestnut CV Knives Picture Show

Thank you 5KQs for the compliment. I know little about that series coming and going - bought the knife in a gun shop where it was in a display cabinet, box long gone. Tang stamp indicates made in 1999. OH

Thanks for the info, OH; sure is a knock-out canoe!! :thumbup:
(When I read that it's a 1999 model, I thought "That's pretty recent!". Then I realized that's almost 18 years ago. I'm not a hunter, but I am getting old! :eek::rolleyes:)

I don't have any group shots, but here are a few I took over the years. Missing from the pics is a Case Back Pocket. I had a Muskrat but it has found another home.

5K Qs, thanks for the compliment from me as well. My traditionals collection is small, so my chestnut bone CVs are a pretty large component of it. They're great favorites of mine and most days I'm usually carrying one of them at least. Got the Soddie Jr. today.

Every once in a while Case hits one outta the park and their Chestnut Bone series knives are some of the best, they look great and when you add the patina the CV blades bring to that mix it's always gonna be a home run.

I only have 2 Chestnut bone CV bladed Cases but they're both my favorites, the SBJ and the SB Jr. I need a better picture.

CASE's Walnut Bone is not too far removed from Chestnut either, rather darker though. Very pleased with my Small Stockman in it, which has just arrived - sent on 14th October though....

I just got my first case in chestnut. All in all I really like it, and it probably won't be my last. I will say that I was shocked at how light they could get. Whenever I thought of the chestnut bone I would think of the super dark reddish/ brown examples. This one definitely doesn't lack character which is a good thing!
