Case Copperlock and Mini Copperlock Lovers Show Your Knives

This is a picture of a Case Limited Edition XX Burnt Stag with Pinched Bolsters that I'm toying with the idea of purchasing for $130.00. Is this priced right?

Very nice, Ken!:cool: Please post pics when it arrives!

It just got here, and I'm blown away. I was expecting the same knife as a typical Copperlock but with ATS-34, but this thing is made as well as many customs I've had. If the bolsters were stainless instead of nickle silver it could pass for a custom. It does have nickle silver pins and liners which I like much more than the usual brass.

The blade grinds are perfect and as good as on any custom I've had. This was huge suprise.
They also didn't round off the spine and left it crisp(which is much better), and the satin blade is also a very nice touch. Locks up like a bank vault with zero play in either direction. Case Tested Red Bone isn't my favorite, but I like it much more than I thought I would. It also had the best edge I've seen on a Case, including the Case Bose collaborations, and the blade grinds are just as good as those too.

Its raining here so I just took a quick pic on the porch. Tried to get a close up of the blade grinds, but that shot came out blurry.

Came in a nice box, and in that box was a very nice wood box that these came in. 250 made in 2004.

The person didn't mention it had ATS-34 in the ebay description, so I don't think many saw it. Don't you just love it when an item isn't listed correctly. I think I did OK for $79 shipped. I would've paid twice that.

Great score Ken! I agree the bone could certainly be dyed darker, but at that price, I wouldn't be complaining either.

Good score, Ken. If you're keeping it as a user you can dye the bone to a darker red if that's important to you. Those "exotic steel" Case knives can bring in a much higher price than what you paid if you intend to flip it. If you ever plan to resell it, i would skip the dyeing.

Where can I pick up a Copperlock or mini in yellow Delryn?

Those were the only one's made with CV steel, and that was in the late 90's. A warncliffe version did come out a few years after that.
They are hard to find. They show up on ebay now and then, but they go for a pretty high price there.
I got my small at a flea market several years ago, and the large at a NKCA show several years ago.

I want to post mine, but the batteries in my camera died. it looks an awful lot like GronK's, anyway. If I had it in carbon, it would probably be my favorite knife.

i would be sorely tempted by one of these in CV (ever ATS-34 if i saw it)
ah well

oh and

I don't want to hijack the thread but..., is there any way to center the blades in a copperlock? I asked over on the trad sub and got no replies. I love the knife (three weeks old) but the blade pulls very left. Thanks

Have you tried contacting Case and asking them? Maybe you can send it in to their repair department.

I have not. I was hoping that I could do it myself and not bother mailing it back. I guess I'll contact them after the first of the year.

The first of three came in today.....

Last time I owned a Case was in the 60's....I don't know why I waited so long; superb craftsmanship, USA made, and priced just right.
