Hello everyone!

I got this beautiful Mini-Copperlock. I got two more of Dark Molasses series comming to me. 3 7/8" Stockman and Barlow. First impressions:

Beautiful and excellent F&F. Fit and Finish is par with my Case Chestnut Bone Swayback Jack and that is alot saying that. Sharp, tight, no bladeplay whatso ever. Even bevels. No sharp edges. Beautiful bone did I say it had beautiful bone? Everything is like Ed said when he inspected my two comming Case Dark Molasses knife. It seems like with Chestnut bone in CV, Stainless Steel Dark Molasses series is done by old masters and rivals the old Case Quality which predates the 80's.

Anyway here's some photos. I don't know is Dark Molasses is limited series or sprint run. If you like what you see, you should act. There's Stocman, Barlow, Medium stockman, Trapper, Half Whittler and Mini-Copperlock in the series which I know for sure.

Hey Jani. That looks great. I think you will like the Barlow and the Stockman when you receive them. I particularly like the Barlow. Actually, I did make a picture.

CASE Mini-Copperlock is a most useful pattern, well made and handy. Some very decent bone on that one.

my first copperlock ever. I like it alot. Longpull, great looking, good steel. Velvet poutch.

these look great. do these (and modern Case knives in general) have half-stops? thanks in advance.

That depends on the pattern. Case makes plenty of knives with half stops, and a lot without them. In the knives above, the Barlow has half stops, but the Stockman does not. Stockman knives very rarely have half stops. I don't think the mini copperlock has half stops either.

Great knives, Jani! Those are all nice examples of nice patterns. I typed out a long-winded response to them earlier, but decided against posting it. To paraphrase- Case is making wonderful knives these days!

thanks, moonwilson. i called a major online distributor but the representative did not know the answer. again, these look beautiful.
thanks for sharing.

Mini -Copperlock is a Lockback so it won't have half stops, steady pull and very tight lockup mind.

Nice looking knives. I have a copperlock in blue bone which looks awesome. Seems like case got their QC up to par recently. The copperlock was made in 2010 and it is flawless, compared to the knives I have made in 2009 and 2008. A good thing to see!
