Case Display in Long Island

Reading all this, its nice to know there still a bunch of "knife guys" here on the island.
I'm sitting here at work in westbury and just might buzz over to the Ace in Bethpage later.

Anybody want anything?

Keep in mind that it was only a one or two model Brooks and Dunn specific display.

VCM3,

I am out in Greenport a lot when the weather is warmer. I take the bike through wine country. I am going to have to check out that art dealer and see if he still had some on display. Probably a long shot.

Looks like there are couple of Long Islanders an City people in here...nice to see it!

John,
It is across from the Bridgehampton Bank, just north of the parking lot there.
It would be right across from where they set up the chowder tasting event tent
The Hardware store I spoke of is down by Preston's,Whites Hardware.

I already posted this in the Traditional forum. But it fits here to.

My local Ace Hardware is closing out some knives. Things like Bear Cutlery, Gerber, and Case. They have two display cases full of Frost knives. I asked the clerk why they were selling off the good stuff and stocking junk like Frost knives? She said, “It’s not that we want to. Frost is the only thing our warehouse is carrying now.”

So if you want those Case knives, get them while the getting is good.

Forgive the off-topic digression please, but last time I was in NYC (maybe 2 years ago) I was pleasantly surprised how many Leatherman and Victorinox displays I noticed in shop windows. (I also had a hell of a good time! :D )

That is true....those are two brands you'll see readily available. Traditonal slipjoints unfortunately not so much.

Glad you enjoyed your stay!

I was trying to find some places to buy knives here in eastern long island. Wasn't sure if Whites still had good stuff. there is sport authority and target but they dont have too much. What happened to Schrade? i am just getting back into knives. I saw a few in a store are they valuable now?
