Case has made perfection pocket sized!

Mine just arrived today! As everyone else has already this is quite possibly the best made Case ever. Both blades came sharp enough I wont bother to touch them up for awhile. Fit and finish is truly impeccable as well. This will be my new EDC slipjoint. I cant wait to get the patina started.

Does anyone know if a lemon or vinegar bath to start a patina would effect the bone?

I put a vinegar patina on my sway today. Stood it up in a cup filled w/ vinegar until right below the bolster and leaned it against the sink splashguard, worked fine. After finishing that knife, though, I thought of using a paper towel soaked in vinegar and wrapping the blades, so that's what I did for my GEC 73 Scout. Worked just as well, though I did drip a little extra vinegar onto the towels about halfway through.

Been carrying the heck out of mine

finally got mine, took me longer to find it "in stock" than it did for standard shipping to get it to me

Got mine and been carrying it...it's passed all my tests.....I got the chestnut bare head and both sides match just about perfectly.
Question....why would anyone want both nicks on the same side?? Looking at mine....if both were on the same side, the first one would be in the way if you wanted to use the second.....get the band aids out!! Am I misunderstanding something??

Well I have been trying to resist getting one of these since I have one in stag tru-sharp, but you guys are making it very difficult. And I have never had chestnut bone so I am thinking I better try order one of these, soon.

I just got my grubby hands on this little beauty...Case Red Stag CV (prototype) Swayback Jack. This is without a doubt the best Case production knife I have handled in recent times. Very well made with crisp action and nicely centered blades. They even did a pretty good job with the stag, which isnt that easy on a small knife. Nothing but good things to say about this knife.

Ok that will be a required purchase! (Wife gonna kill me!) I just can't resist Stag and CV!

Red Stag in CV! Had to look twice.
Any idea when we might see those in production?

I really don't know. I saw on one of the Case web sites where the red stag stainless SBJs are out of production...not sure what that means. I think we will be seeing the Red Stag CV SBJs soon.

These knives are great.Every one I've had was real high quality & sharp
This, the latest & out of one of those 3 blade sets, the seller busted it up & sold it seperately,I did not have the heart to do that,so this was a good find for me,like that....

That's a beauty Vince! I really like the shield and that's great lookin' bone too.

Just got one in CV today. You guys pegged it. This is the nicest regular production knife in every respect that I have seen come out of Case since the early '70. They really nailed this. Blades are well centered, no gaps anywhere and very smooth finish and the edges are very sharp out of the box. F&F as sweet as any company out there.

I waited to pick one up until the CV version came out, but thanks to all who tempted me over the last 11 months or so.

I'm getting tempted by one, that Chestnut bone is striking.

I have the Bermuda Green Barehead version in stainless and this is a very well executed knife indeed. Do they all come with a tin? I'm going to use my tin for odd&ends just wondering if all models get one.

Problem is I don't NEED a Chestnut one (since when was that relevant??)and I'm trying to save up for the CASE/Bose Norfolk knife...(if it comes out, this talk of lay-offs is making me pessimistic) Damn fine small knives these swaybacks!

It really can't be beat. I've been rotating the slips for a bit, and that darn Swayback keeps jumping back in my pocket. Just love it.
