Case knife for kitchen duty?

@brownshoe

We had truck farmers that would park near the town square selling out of their pickup beds. They would pull into a blind alley and sell from there. Some had pretty elaborate outfits set up. Eventually the city made a little space for them to pull in and sell their produce (eggs too). We used to see pickups on most rural highways selling similar goods. Of course this was a long time ago, late 50's to the 70's.

I've heard of truck farmers, but thought I'd google the term to see if my idea was consistent with what's presented online. Basically, it was, but I learned that there are similarities and differences between "truck farmers" and "market gardeners". I had NOT heard of the latter term. But some of the posts here seem to be describing market gardeners instead of truck farmers. :confused::rolleyes: But I'll bet either group would find a slimline trapper/ truck farmer knife useful! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

I always figured if a produce farmer sold out of a truck he was a truck farmer :D At least that's what my dad called them. I don't know if any of them had a slimline trapper or not, but they should have.
