Case knife: Mother of pearl, Natural bone or Green bone?

Yep. That's definitely not acceptable. Send it back. Be polite; Case is a good company and I'm sure they will handle it properly. Maybe someone here knows the proper person (as opposed to department) to whom to address your problem.

It's already boxed up and labeled for the Repairs Dept. If they can tighten and straighten the pen blade I don't even care about any scratches. If not, I'm not even picky about handle scale type on a replacement knife. I really do like the size and pattern though, can't wait to get something back.
It would be even better in CV steel. :D

The Mini Copperhead with Wharncliffe interests me but I note that prices of this pattern seem considerably higher than other small patterns.Wonder why?

It's a mystery to me as well. In fact, the mini copperhead pattern in general seems to be a bit high for a pen knife. But, I have noticed a trend on the bay that disturbs me in general regarding pricing.

But back to the thread, I am thinking I will get another one of these if I can find one, maybe in a different handle than the one I have. The amber bone though does look better in person than it does in stock photos, much the same as the second cut antique bone does.
