How often do you see a model that's not in the cover you'd like , only available in SS , or not the combination of Steel and cover option you want ?
Most of the various new covers come and go and are often just so-so, but theres the old standbys or the real winners like autumn bone and Roger's jigged bone, they don't offer 'em enough and may not offer 'em with CV on enough patterns if at all.

I don't think it's too unreasonable to ask that they cut back a bit on the new short lived cover options and do more with what they already have is it ?

I agree here. Quite often CASE offers cover materials that are appealing to me, but not very often in the combination of steel i prefer. I am quite partial to their CV blades. The most recent for me was the molasses sawcut bone, to my knowledge it wasnt offered in anything but true sharp, but i could be mistaken. Boy would that cover look great with some patina!

That's how I felt about the new corncob jigged roger's bone, and about the autumn bone.
Both are beautiful, but I want CV.

That is true... but my wife and wallet are happy about that. 🤣
Yeah and if I get more than one new knife around the same time I feel a bit overwhelmed.
I'm much happier getting a knife and getting to know it for a bit before trying the next thing.

Maybe but they have me questioning them sometimes.

If a cover material such as amber jigged bone or chestnut bone are pretty popular, what could possibly go wrong if they offer it on the knives they don't ?
I watched an interview on YouTube the other day and they said they are aware of the demand for CV, but there are different manufacturing processes between CV and stainless. I got the feeling (although it wasn’t clearly stated) that they are working on those processes so they can use it more.

For me, if I see a cover material I like I will buy the pattern that I want in that material regardless of the steel. That said, I MUCH prefer to carry and use CV.

I would guess that Case offers more of what they find sells better.
Exactly. To a non knife nut just looking to buy a pocket knife, what do you think they will buy first. A stainless steel knife that won't rust or one that will?

I'd also rather them keep offering short lived handle covers so I can get a variety of cool looking knives rather than the same thing over and over.

I really like my worn whiskey bone trapper in CV👍🏻

Thanks Brother !
Fit and finish is really good with a centered blade and this one has no blade play. Same with the Violet bone Copperhead I received tonight 👍🏻
That’s great, really glad you’re having good luck with those!👍 That violet looks better in your photo then in did on the website, might be in my future! 🔮😉

Thanks my friend and actually I didn’t even realize the Violet was bone and not synthetic like the green until it arrived lol.
Here’s a couple of close ups for you👍🏻
It’s funny but the Violet I like the best and thought the Zombie green would of been my favorite.
