Alright! Time to get the ninth rendition of the Case Pass Around Box underway! This delivery hit my doorstep yesterday.

Thanks to JohnDF JohnDF for kicking off this GAW and for AdamFuzzyballs AdamFuzzyballs for forwarding it on my way. There are plenty of nice goodies here that kept me occupied for awhile yesterday afternoon. I decided to take one that will be for me and then a few that will be destined for gifts to kids and friends.

I really like the mini trapper with the wharncliffe attachment. Plus, I do like a Case with half stops. I also like the natural bone and bomb shield. It’s just a nice pocketable knife. The other three will be great gifts for kids and friends. The peanut, toothpick, and the pen knife are all great examples and I’m thrilled to have them.

NOW——— what should we add to the mix???

1. Smooth Chestnut Bone Full Size Trapper w/some flair added
2. #75 Large Stockman in Amber Jigged Bone
3. Small Texas Jack in synthetic ebony 😃

C’mon…doesn’t that make you want to put on some boots and a hat and ride some noble steed off into the sunset???

Shipped to your door!

Got one? Got a few? Toss your name in the mix and join in! I’ll gauge interest through the week and shoot for a Wednesday drawing.

Enjoy!

Here are the rules:

I will draw a winner and send the box to them.
They will choose two, three, or however many knives.
They will replace the knives with some of their own (Case Knives Only).
They will hold their own drawing and pass the box on to the next person.

Porch Members Only!
Must have over 50 posts in the Traditional Knife Forum.
This rule must follow the box every time or John will call foul.

I will also keep it to CONUS only to save a bundle on shipping and massive paperwork.

By default, I am keeping in the running those that were in the last drawing. If you'd like to be added to the list, simply say "I'm in!" Likewise, if you are on the list and you do not want to be there, just let me know.

Here are the folks already in:

1. seas165 seas165

3. Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar

4. TheJon TheJon

5. Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31

Great selection out of the box... glad to see the Yellow Peanut is finally going to find a good home.
Your additions are most excellent, I'd love to have any of those three in my pocket... great job, Jon. 🤠

Wow that’s a great looking box! Beautiful additions Jon. Glad you liked that Wharncliffe mini trapper. I hope some more folks jump in and keep this going. It’s a lot of fun to watch. 😎👍

Sweet passaround idea! I'm not putting in to enter here because I'm newer around these parts and only own 3 Case knives to my name. But cool idea!

I could see somebody jumping on this pair. The tribal lock in black Micarta is a great main blade, and the baby butterbean is a great watchpocket knife. I could easily be convinced to snag this pair if I had another shot at the box.

Jump in!
Jon, you still got the box. Swap a couple more in for them :)
BTW, by my count, this is #XIV not IX ;)

Got me 😁! I’m in P.T. Barnum mode here. I may be given to a bit of exaggeration here or there. After a few months I may throw my hat back in the ring. But for now, I’m trying to put out my best marketing effort to woo some more folks into the Pass Around fold.

As for Roman numerals. Gah…South Carolina public schools only spent so much time on that subject…but I can’t blame it on that. I saw XIII and thought VIII. Thanks for the heads up Mike! I’ll dummy proof us back to good ole ‘Merican numerals instead of the ones they use in Rome 😜. 14 it is.

Great promotional effort Jon! The tribal lock and large stockman is where my eye falls also. I don’t have but a mini copperlock I could part with right now though.

How’s the walk and talk on them all? Is there any that are a bit lazy?

JM2 JM2 After surveying the lot, I’ve come up with the three most solid Walkers and Talkers IMHO.

1. Yella full size trapper - really great for a modern full size trapper. My father-in-law has about 50, and I’d say that this one has as good of W&T as any of his.
2. Small Texas Jack
3. Yella Slimline trapper.

Definite honorable mention to the barlow. It is nice and snappy! All the rest have great attributes as well. There are some really good knives here. Just thought I’d refrain from making an exhaustive list.

All the best!

I’m going to give a few more days before I pull the next recipient. I’m headed out of town till Friday night. I’ll select on Saturday and get us moving down the road from there.

If you are new to the thread, feel free to jump in!

Nice work, JonMcD JonMcD , and nice selections!
I am, reluctantly, going to back out for now. I just have too much going on the rest of the summer to promise a timely turn around. I’ll jump back in when things slow down a bit in the fall. I will continue to watch and and enjoy the selection process!
