For trade: case peanut with box. CV blade metal w/ yellow handles. Carried for about 3 months straight and used on small tasks and a bit of food prep. There is a nice patina started already. I just wanted to try one out, and would prefer something a bit more utilitarian

Trade for: vic farmer, soldier, recruit II in decent condition / or wenger si

Any chance of a pic/scan? How's the walk and talk? Any wobble?

I will try to get a pic this weekend.

Some may perceive a tad of wobble on the clip, but the cv seems pliable in the clip blade and it is difficult to tell if there is a tiny amount of play. The pen is solid. As the 'toughest' job either blade has tackled is opening a package and cutting some fruit/veggies. The play is as it was from shipment about 3 months ago. While I have been very interested in traditional styles lately, I still have not grasped the 'essence' of walk and talk. There are half stops which appear to function as designed and the pen spring is quite a bit tighter than the clip.

I got this to try and to establish whether I would like a really nice keeper in the pattern. It is a nice knife to hold and look at, I just don't like the feel/level of utility when actually using it.

In terms of trade, I don't expect a completely new piece, and I do realize that any of the saks, or soddie cv can be had for a bit less $$. I don't really collect things, and if anything I own doesn't get used, it goes towards something that will. Part of the simple living mindset I got involved with over 2 decades ago.
