Case: Peanut vs. small stockman

\jigging on the last 2 Case Peanuts I've bought is about on par with Rough Rider standards. Which is to say.... awful.

Just gave as a gift. a RR peanut in Sawcut bone and fluted bolsters.
I could not find fault with it.

So perhaps it depends....

Well, things have change a little bit and some decisions have been made. My sister called (wife of the banker) and said she wanted to get her husband a pocketknife (the same conversation I had with him that gave me the idea to give him a pocketknife gave her the same idea) and she would have spent more money on the gift than I would so he is getting a Sambar Stag Small Stockman #5548 5327SS from her that I will order for her. I have decided to give my other brother-in-law an Amber Bone Peanut #045 6220SS. I will also be giving my grandfather a Rough Rider Hawkbill Pruning knife that I have cleaned until it doesn't leak red dye anymore, I also filed down the tang so the blade sits much lower in the handle. He is an avid gardener and he can use it as a harvesting knife. Thanks for all the comments and advise. I will post some pictures when I get them.

Ok, here are some quick and dirty photos of the three knives. If I get more time and if anyone wants them I will post better pictures.

The top knife is the CV stockman my wife is giving me for Christmas, it will be a new EDC for me. The middle one is the peanut for my wife's brother (the warehouse manager) and on bottom is the stag small stockman that my sister is giving to her husband (the banker).

Very fair pictures, I must admit I didn't know the Small Stockman was that small as I've carried the mediums, a nice looking user nevertheless. Everybody in receipt of those knives is going to be very contented!
