I just ordered this knife without doing any research. After doing the research I see some people hate this knife! I've always wanted a peanut, but now I'm having buyers remorse and I didn't even get the knife yet! Is anyone out there that likes this knife?

Don't give up on it before ya get it! :) I picked up a standard peanut a few weeks ago. I like it for next to my recliner.

I just find the Peanut too small for me to carry or hold. I like a mini trapper as the smallest for pocket carry.

Let us know what you think when you get it!

I've always thought it was an interesting idea. I already happen to own a Victorinox Classic that has the small scissors, so I've never needed the Peanut version. The small scissors do come in handy, so assuming they work well I think you'll be pleased with the added utility you'll get from it.

What scales did you get it in? If it's a current production model I think they are only offered in Magenta Bone.

They also have a Small Pen knife which is even smaller than the Peanut but has the scissors hinged at the opposite end of the blade. That one comes in Amber Bone. Both are SS.

Peach seed jiged Magenta bone. I think it looks great! I really want a small knife to accompany my modern folding knife everyday. Don't really need a double bladed one. My next pursuit will be a gec pemberton.

I have one. I dont carry it much but its a solid little knife and I like having small scissors handy.

I have a Mini Copperhead in the Magenta Bone. Keep in mind that Magenta is kind of a dark pinkish in color. Here's mine:

Hey great! How do the scissors perform?

Very well. They are sharp. This one is from 2005 or so I think. The scissors have the screw in them so you can tighten it up...the new ones are just riveted so I dont know if that is a factor

I've got one, and like it. If I have to wear a formal uniform or civilian attire, it's handy to carry because it's small, classy, and the scissors are great for clipping off those stray threads.

Looks like it would make a great key chain knife. However, until they add a toothpick, tweezers, and a bottle opener it will never replace my vic rambler.

I don't like the aesthetics of Saks so this would be a cool alternative but ugh at that bone..

Is this a new release? I have been looking around but haven't managed to find one for sale. It is pretty much what I have been looking for for quite a while to carry on my keychain (I currently have a two blade peanut with bail). I didn't realise they made the scissors model in bone.

Isn't the peanut a little more stout of knife than the Vic?

Definitely. I honestly never use the blade on my vic since I always carry another knife. If I was only going to carry one knife it would be a tough choice. Main blade or accessories.

Sharp, take it easy, you're gonna love it. There's no such thing as a bad peanut purchase. There's no such thing as a bad peanut. :D

Boy! Thanks guys you've made me excited again :D
When the grand high muckba says it will be good, I can't argue with that

Wow, I had never seen those before. The scissors are cool, but the thing I really like is the bail. Every knife should come with a bail. :D

I wish the people at Case would hear that!!!

A small knife like the peanut is a natural for a bail. It's small enough to fit on a keychain, and a lanyard/watch chain is sometimes a good thing with a small knife that may slide out of a pocket. I think a bail should be standard equipment on peanuts, mini copperheads, tiny trappers and the like.

Carl.
