glad to hear the scissors perform well, how do they compare with the vic scissors? I've always been especially impressed with SAK scissors.

I have a Green Zytel Peanut with scissors & they work fine.I can cut 3mm leather bolo cord with a bit of effort & they glide through paper no sweat.

As well you should! It's a cutie.

The smaller knives seem to look right with a scissors tucked in there.

Got it in the mail today. It's really pink! The scissors and knife are very close together. Seems like eventually they'll begin to rub. It is one small knife!

David, while the Peanut I have does not have the scissors, it has the pen blade. I have been carrying it for the better part of twenty years. On weekends when I am doing some heavy outdoor stuff it still is in my pocket. Enjoy it!

My daughter loves it! Maybe it will be a good heirloom? Plus, I call her peanut! Lol

I don't think it's pink, more a magenta. But it's a beautiful little knife.:thumbup::thumbup:

Be careful though, peanuts can be tricky when you first get them. They can bite if you don't take them seriously. Read the cult guide to the care and feeding of peanuts for your own sake. And those of your fingers!

I have two cv case peanuts and love them (old red bone is in my pocket at present).

They are small, sturdy and sharp enough for anything. I like the scissors idea but I can't stand bails on knives, especially on something the size of a peanut. Just personal preference. Carry it daily, you will love it and learn to rely on it regardless of its misleading size.

David,

There's only one review that matters....

.... yours!!

It's your pocket, your life, your decision.

I'll make 2 quick comments about my own journey.

First, I can't imagine day to day life without having small scissors handy. I say the same thing to the unconverted that I say to non-knife people. Carry one for a month and then see if you can live without them. Honestly, I end up using (and abusing) my scissors all the time. All the time.

Second, I get frustrated tethering a tool like that to keys. Keys are junk. Tools go in pockets. Tools in pockets get used. Tools attached to keys don't since I have to walk to find the keys and that point, I'm just going to get a real tool. Worse, I hate using the tools with a gaggle of keys flopping about.

I fly with a different combo but the principle is the same. My suggestion, give the knife a month of pocket time. Not key chain time. Pocket time.

RFP: Locking folder and spare change.
LFP: Micra and money clip.

Perfect.

Functionally will do double duty. When scissor are needed, you have them. When "Timmy" (the scared kid who never went camping as a kid) is nearby and you need to cut open a package, you have a friendlier blade at hand. And when you need to open a beer, you'll have to come find me to borrow my Micra!

Or use a house key, Bic lighter, teaspoon, butter knife, keychain screw driver, SD tip of a Vic classic, or any of the 40 other ways to open a beer that work very well. :D

Desperate men, in desperate times.

The rear drop out of my bike is another tried and true option.

Still, proper tools and all ;)
