Case Peanut?

Everyone should have a small knife. It doesn't have to be your do everything knife, and it can't be that, but a small knife is handy for most day to day needs.

The Peanut may be the perfect small knife. At any rate, it's a good choice.

Personally, I would choose Case. It doesn't have to be one of the premium versions. A yellow handled example would be OK, or one of the other lower priced examples. Regardless, you will be able to give it to your grandson one day.

Whatever brand you look at, go with quality. If you choose a cheap knife over quality and value you are sure to be disappointed.

As far as cost, shop online. You will get better selection and better prices. You don't need to pay full retail.

It just occurred to me that I have a Rough Rider Peanut in my desk at work that I never use. It's been sitting there for what seems like a decade and I've been waiting for someone to come along that I can give it to. It has red jigged bone covers and I don't recall ever cutting anything with it.

If interested, I'll send it to you free of charge if you have a U.S. shipping address. Just a friendly offer. Click on my username and then click on View Profile and send me a visitor message if you want it. It needs a good home after all these years. No obligation but I'm more than happy to give it a new home.

This is a great offer! This is why I also love this place and the people in it!!!!

The mighty peanut...it's worth to have one or two around. Still my favorite summer carry pocket knife. Slices and slices..
We do have a cult you know..:D

The Case Peanut is one of my all-time favs. It's a great little companion. Mine resides in the watch pocket of my Carhartt pants as the #2 to the Barlow I carry in RFP.

Very nice move Railsplitter. 👍🏻 i like peanuts, they are plenty of knife most days for my edc needs. Very people friendly and soooo easy to carry. I am 6'4" and have fairly large hands with long fingers. A peanut would not be comfortable for me to

use for extended cutting chores but for simple chores they are great. Another easy to carry Case to consider is the 32087

pen knife.

This was my lucky day at [a big box hardware store] today, going thru the tool area I saw a close out on case knives, the only two left was a bone handle peanut marked $44,and marked down to $17,and a small yellow handle sod buster jr for $24,marked down to $11,now I have both, and with my Military discount really came out great.:thumbup:

I love those deals! Got a lot of Schrade Old Timers that way when they went out of business at different big box and somewhat big box stores.

A few peanuts too ;)
