A couple of interesting single spring pen knives. I'd never looked at the construction closely, but this interesting thread made me curious.
A Schrade Cut 3 1/8" pen, pattern 7342. And a Western Boulder, 2 15/16" pen pattern 442. Both are kind of odd patterns, a pen with a big clip, and a square bolster pen with a very thin California clip.
I can see there was no blade crinking, just grinding. It is a tight squeeze in there. Surprised after looking at close up that the Western does not wobble.
You can see the different look of the catch bits. This old Schrade is tight in every sense of the word. The blades, springs, liners, snap, and the hafting. Great to see that on a knife that is over 70 years old.
