Case Pen or Peanut?

Out of the two patterns mentioned, I might like the pen better. Based on the fact that I almost always will pick up my mini copperhead before a peanut. It is a lot like the pen, especially with the clip blade version. Maybe I need to pick up a pen to try out. - Ed J

Thanks for the input, everyone! I went ahead and ordered a pen pattern in yellow CV. :)..... I was weak and bought an chestnut bone Peanut, too.

Excellent choice! Let us know what you think after you've had 'em both for a little while.

Unlike the Peanut, both blades on the Pen open properly with the right thumb like God intended.

Wha?? I open all knives with my left thumb, why waste time holding in left opening right and switching back? Confused...

Anyway, the OP opted for both knives, can't go wrong there! I prefer the Pen and have cv and Trusharp versions. Just wish CASE would offer some more scale variants on this fine and authentic pattern, it's sort of overlooked by them. Amber Bone, proper redbone, decent stag,Chestnut even G-10 would all look excellent. I like single-spring knives and appreciate a longer but not bulky handle.

If the OP likes the Pen, I'd suggest getting a GEC Conductor (33) it's another compact single spring and is beautifully finished too.
