Case quality across the range?

Every case I've seen recently has been wonderful in every respect. That's not to say that don't have slip-ups, but I've been very impressed, personally.

I don't have any Cases in bone & haven't what Cases I do have very long, but they've been very good, IMHO. I have a Tiny Trapper in Orange G-10 (About 1 yr), a Seahorse Whittler in orange G-10 (Several months), & just got a Mini Trapper CV in yellow, which I'm real impressed with. It even has half stops!

I'm expecting a Case/Bose Dogleg Jack, but don't have it yet (Impatiently waiting...:grumpy:)

In my opinion for the amount of money Case knives go for, they could stand to up the quality a bit. I feel the same could be said about Queen.

The quality of Case knives improved since Zippo bought the company. Case knife quality declined in the late seventies and eighties. When Parker owned Case the quality was terrible. I had looked at and examined knives in or around the time just before Parker sold the company and the blades had to be moved over to close them. Once Zippo came in the quality improved greatly. I have some Seahore Whittlers and a Case Tony Bose designed Swayback Jack that are very well made with good blade snap but not so strong to be considered nail breakers with no gaps and even springs. Most of my recent Case knives have a burr on the blade but this is easily fixed. But my Swayback Jack's Stag is matched badly....dark nice on one side and very light on the other side. This is what happens with mass production but all in all I think Case knives to day are very well made knives.
