I have seen and held this knife in my hands. It is a bit hefty and feels 100 per cent solid. I like it very much. But I don't hear much about it.

I understand it has been around for years. Anybody who has one care to comment on it?

The "Shark's Tooth" was Case's answer to the Buck 110 lockback. It was first put into production in 1972; however due to production problems with the polished curly maple handles, it was not released to the market until late 1975. It's original retail price was $50.00 at a time when other patterns like the "trapper" retailed for under $20.

Another interesting tidbit is that the Shark's Tooth was originally made by ALCAS Cutlery on contract for Case. I believe that Case makes them in-house now.
